The Westchester/Putnam Central Labor Body hosted Senator Hilary Clinton's kickoff of the "Women's Voices Can Make a Difference Campaign" in New York State. The "Woman's Voices," a project of Voices for Working Families, was created to ensure that everyone in this country can participate fully in America's political life.
50 million voting age women across America do not vote. The "Women's Voices Campaign" works to register voters, to share the information about issues that affect our lives, and provide opportunities to raise a unified voice for women's priorities - issues that affect families before political leaders and candidates. Their mission is to register, educate and mobilize voters.
In the upcoming election, "Women's Voices" will be making information available to voters and sponsoring events. "Women's Voices" will go door-to-door. They will encourage "bringing their children to walk" and training the next generation of activists for social and economic justice. If you are willing to be part of "Women's Voices" and to make your voice heard, call (914) 328-7988 and we will put you in contact with this nonpartisan group. |
