The members of Yonkers Fire Fighters Local 628, in cooperation with the Westchester-Putnam Central Labor Body, have participated in the "Cell Phones for Soldiers" program by acting as a collection site for the charity.

The organization raises money to buy phone cards for our Service People in Iraq so they can stay in touch with their families in the U.S.A. People donate old cell phones, and they sell them to a company that refurbishes them and 100% of the proceeds go to our Service People.
