Postal Worker's Food Drive
May 10th, the National
Association of Letter Carriers held their annual food drive. They asked people
on their routes to donate non-perishable food for the drive by leaving it outside
the doors of their houses. The letter carriers picked up the donations as they
delivered mail. This year they collected 128,808 lbs. of food which was given
directly to food pantries and others who are feeding the hungry.
